There’s not much of a rationale to this one, other than it was born out of the eternal admiration for the forest-floor dwelling creatures. The ways in which their appearances and intricate details reflect the inherent creativity of nature itself is something that fuels my imagination daily. I find myself consistently gravitating towards recreating bugs and their beauty through my developed artistic style; focusing on bold contrast, negative space and shapes that keep the eye flowing through the imagery.
The original drawing was doodled in an old tattered art book, then more recently refined utilizing ProCreate and a photo editing app called AfterLight.
